Townsend Elementary School provides education and opportunity to grow for approximately 400 students in preschool through 6th grade. The building administration consists of Principal Jamie Stanley and Assistant-Principal Shelley Mannor. There are 24 classroom teachers, a vocal music teacher, physical education teacher, art teacher, 4 special education teachers, and 1 literacy coach. Townsend also provides a Young 5's Kindergarten classroom, preschool classroom, a head start program, and before/after school childcare.

Our students are supported by the following professionals: a school social worker, school psychologist, speech and language therapist, special education social worker, school nurse, 11 classroom assistants,  an occupational and physical therapist, and 4 special education aides. Ensuring that Townsend Elementary runs smoothly, we also have 2 secretaries, 1 safety crossing guard, 5 kitchen workers, and 3 custodians.
