Townsend Crazy Socks Day classroom highest participation goes to ... Ms. Hilling's kinders with 85%! It has been so fun to see our Jayhawks join in the Homecoming Week festivities. Tomorrow is School Colors Day: wear black, red, and/or white.

Cross Country ran their first meet today at Meckley's with Lea Cure bringing home a medal. Great job Jayhawks!

Vandercook Lake MS/HS will have a Homecoming Assembly tomorrow, beginning at 1:20pm. Attached is a bell schedule for your reference. Friday will be a normal school day beginning at 7:30am and ending at 2:30pm.

Crazy Socks, Silly Fun. Simpson's 2nd graders have Vandy Spirit!

Mrs. Lackey's class enjoyed wearing our pajamas to school today. We are learning how to spell our names with play-dough. We have been doing a classroom name study and can recognize the names of our classmates. We also celebrated the first birthday in our classroom.

Townsend Families - Mrs. Lackey's students won the class spirit day competition with 100% of students wearing pajamas! Yahoo!

Tomorrow is crazzzzzyyyy socks!

The VCL Music Boosters are hosting the annual Jackson County Marching Invitational on October 1st, and we are in need of volunteers!

The Jackson County Marching Invitational is an annual event that is a staple in the community, where Jackson County marching bands come to Vandercook Lake to perform their halftime shows for one another. They get to receive feedback on their performances, and we get to encourage one another and watch some incredible student musicians.

We are in need of volunteers for things like concessions, t-shirt sales, ticket sales, and getting shout-outs up to the press box.

From the classroom to the dance floor. Middle School danced the night away!

Punt, Pass, Kick - kicks off Tonight! Tuesday, Sept. 9th, from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Vandercook Lake High School football field. Please enter through the Visitors side entrance. This fun program for our Kindergarten-2nd graders will run every Tuesday in September, with Competition Night on Sept. 30th when the community is invited to cheer on our littlest Jayhawks!
