Did you miss our Vandy Sports Physical Day? Still need one? Don't forget any sports physicals done before April 15th of 2026 are not valid for the 2026-2027 school year. Henry Ford is offering two more sports physical days this week before fall season begins.

High School fall sports officially begin Monday, August 10! Below are the practice schedules:

🏫 High School Practices (Beginning August 10):
🏃 Cross Country: 7:00–9:00 AM
🏈 JV & Varsity Football: 2:00–6:00 PM
⛳ Girls Golf: 3:30–5:00 PM (Ella Sharp Golf Course)
📣 Varsity Cheer: 4:00–5:30 PM
🏐 JV & Varsity Volleyball:
• Monday & Tuesday: 6:00–7:30 PM
• Wednesday: 4:30–5:30 PM
• Thursday: 4:30–6:00 PM

🏫 Middle School Updates:
🏈 7th & 8th Grade MS Football: Workouts begin Monday, Aug. 10 from 2:30–5:00 PM. Official practices start Aug. 17
📣 MS Cheer: Monday, August 10 from 5:30–6:30 PM.
🏐 MS Volleyball and 🏃 MS Cross Country will begin on the first day of school.

Reminder: All student-athletes must have a current physical on file before participating.

Mental strength is just as important as physical strength. 💪🧠 Today, our football team had the opportunity to learn from our school social worker, Bryana Johnson, during a mental strength session focused on building confidence, resilience, and the mindset needed to compete both on and off the field. After the lesson, the players returned the favor by giving Ms. Johnson a few pointers on how to throw a football. 🏈 Safe to say everyone learned something today!

Thank you Chief Warner and Summit Fire Department for donating backpacks filled with supplies for kids in need. It takes a village to raise children and we greatly appreciate all of our community partnerships!

📣 MS Cheer Camp – Day 2 | Camp Complete! That’s a wrap on our 2026 Vandercook Lake Middle School Cheer Camp! Over the past two days, our campers embraced every challenge, learned new skills, built confidence, and grew together as teammates. Their energy, dedication, and willingness to support one another made this year’s camp a tremendous success.
