Today Mrs. Johnson's 2nd graders learned science is fun AND tasty! We watched a mystery science video on how ice cream is made and then we actually made ice cream in the classroom! It was such a blast!!!

Mrs. Johnson's 2nd grade students listened to the story "Our Class is a Family" by Shannon Olsen because we are most DEFINITELY a classroom family! Adding to the story, we created a family wall! It turned out spectacular thanks some incredible artists!


It's High School Football Game Day at Vandercook Lake! Come out and support your Jayhawks! Gates open at 5:30pm. Game starts at 6:00pm.

Mrs. Sweeney's first graders enjoyed a fun "Find a Friendly Friend" activity today to help us build our classroom community and get to know each other better. It was a great first full day of the school year!









In Mrs. Johnson's 2nd grade, we S.O.A.R.!!! Today we discussed the meaning of each letter (S:safe, O:on task, A:accept responsibility, R:respect) and created posters to remind us throughout our year! GO JAYHAWKS!!!!





The next "Listen & Learn" with Superintendent Lowder will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30PM.
