More Field Day fun! Our 1st graders enjoyed some exciting activities this morning. We love practicing teamwork and getting our bodies moving!

We celebrate positive behavior! Mrs. Flippin's class has been challenged to earn mystery prizes by completing SOARING tasks on sticky notes. Every sticky note removed shows pieces of the prize and some mini prizes! So far we have earned rootbeer floats and flashlight Friday!




Due to rain coming in this evening the Senior Awards Ceremony will be held in the High School Gym at 6pm. Limited space Tickets only.

There’s some great news for families who have experienced job loss or serious income loss: the Department of Education has encouraged families to appeal their financial aid award, if needed, which could allow them to be eligible for additional federal and/or institutional aid.

Attention all boys in grades 7-11, there will be open gym if you are interested in playing basketball tomorrow from 9am-11am in the HS gym.

This staff has worked through the craziest, most challenging year yet. We have overcome teaching virtual, hybrid, and in person teaching- all at once! We have cried together, laughed together, and supported one another. WE ARE VANDY STRONG!!! Believe. Achieve. SOAR.

Due to a power outage, Townsend Elementary will dismiss students at 10:30 am. The district was not able to serve lunches as a result of the power outage. We anticipate that power will be restored in time for school on Thursday.

Townsend Elementary building has experienced a partial electrical outage. It is looking like we will need to send students home early today. More specific details will be coming in the near future.
