Mrs. Benjamin created a fun experiment for her 2nd graders from Mystery Science! They all participated in making homemade ice cream with some simple ingredients! Science ROCKS!!!
The MS orientation dinner was a success this evening. 5th and 6th graders from Townsend and their parents came to visit the MS campus. They were welcomed with a dinner cooked by the Lions club, an informational session by staff, teachers, coaches, and a self guided tour of campus. Thank you to all those who attended. Thank you to True Community Credit Union & Dawn Foods for sponsoring the dinner and the Vandercook Lake Lions Club for grilling!. Go Jayhawks!
Our 5th and 6th graders from Townsend came to visit their future middle school for orientation. They took a guided tour, played some competitive games, and finished off the day with Icees pops. Proud to be a Jayhawk!

Due to traffic on I-94 coming back from an elementary field trip, Kathy's bus (#22) and Elizabeth's bus (#44) will not be on time at the MS/HS for dismissal. At this time they are 20 minutes away; therefore, you may pick up your student if able to. Student's on these two buses may be very late today. We apologize for this inconvenience.

The school year is winding down, & Ms Simpson's 1st & 2nd grade students are enjoying each day by celebrating with an ABC countdown.
Today was "O for Orange" Day. We wore orange, read "The Orange Splot", and had a few warm-up pages that celebrated "orange".
Yesterday, they got to choose a new name for "N for Name" day. They loved writing letters to friends & loved ones (and learning about the parts of a letter) on "L" day. We have also enjoyed (I) ice cream, learned a new "E"xercise (Tae Bo kids), and wore (H) hats to school!
What a great memory, and a great group of kids!
