8th graders Lydia Chase and Marley Sample competed today at Central Michigan University in the state competition for Michigan History Day with their junior exhibit "Legacy & Implications of the 3/5 Clause" as a turning point in history.

1st/2nd grade students in Ms Simpson's class use the analogy of a table & table legs to compare the concepts of Main Idea & Supporting details. Just like the table legs support a table, the supporting details back up the main idea of a reading or writing passage. The kids enjoyed drawing their "table" and adding details & labels.
