This week’s staff “spotlight” is on our wonderful Mrs. Swaenepoel! She currently teaches 5th grade and has taught at Townsend for 8 years. She is married with 5 sons and 1 daughter! She enjoys being around the water in her off times during the school year. Her favorite thing about Townsend is “working with a staff who loves kids and does all they can to make Townsend an amazing place. “ We couldn’t agree more!

Our staff "spotlight" is on our wonderful preschool teacher, Danielle Casto. She has worked at Townsend for 6 years. She is married and no kids yet but "over 190 children I have taught that have my heart." Her favorite thing about Townsend is "the students and the family and building relationships!" We are very lucky to have her in our district!
Mrs. Johnson's second grade class enjoyed a Valentine's party full of minute to win it games ( Cupid's Arrows, Cookie Challenge, Fruit Looped with one hand, and Chop Stick Hearts)! It was a blast!!!!

Mrs. Smith’s Young 5s class went on an archeological dig! They learned words such as herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, mammal and oviparous! Oh, they had a little fun too:)

This week’s staff “spotlight” is our own Elise Fish. She is one of our 4th grade teachers and has taught at Townsend for 23 years! She is married and has 2 grown kids. She spends her winters as a ski instructor up north. Her favorite thing about Townsend is “the close-knit community that all take care of one another”. We couldn’t agree more!
