The Jackson County Marching Invitational is an annual event that is a staple in the community, where Jackson County marching bands come to Vandercook Lake to perform their halftime shows for one another. They get to receive feedback on their performances, and we get to encourage one another and watch some incredible student musicians.
We are in need of volunteers for things like concessions, t-shirt sales, ticket sales, and getting shout-outs up to the press box.

Tuesday, Sept. 9th, from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Vandercook Lake High School football field. Please enter through the Visitors side entrance.
This fun program for our Kindergarten-2nd graders will run every Tuesday in September, with Competition Night on Sept. 30th when the community is invited to cheer on our littlest Jayhawks!

Townsend Families - Mrs. Sweeney's classroom again won for College Day participation with 36%. Tomorrow is PJ Day! Please leave blankets and stuffed animals at home. We look forward to everyone showing their school spirit!

Students in Ms. Salenbien's 3rd grade class enjoyed making 3D models of globes this past week! They also learned about cardinal and intermediate directions while making their own compass rose! #socialstudies #3rdgraderocks

Look who stopped by the high school today to put their handprints on the wall and take a tour? Members of The Class of 1975! Thank you so much for coming back and sharing some stories with us! ❤️🤍 We also had a visit from David Ellenwood, Class of '71, all the way from Pittsburgh! Jayhawk Pride! ❤️🤍 The next two handprint wall dates are Oct 10th at 6pm before the varsity football game and December 2nd at 6pm before the band concert.
