The Vandercook Lake Jayhawks Track & Field team had an outstanding performance at Regionals!
🏆 Dallas earned Regional Champion honors in pole vault and qualified for the State Finals!
🥈 Michah finished Regional Runner-Up in shot put and also punched his ticket to the State Finals!
All-Region honors also went to:

• Carter Richmond — High Jump
• Boys 4x100 Relay: Dallas, Bryant, Jacob, & Carter Richmond
• Boys 4x200 Relay: Deshawn, Michah, Dallas, & Jacob

Our 3rd-5th grade students use their Vandy Bucks in the S.O.A.R shop twice a month. Our K-2nd grade students, enjoy a rolling S.O.A.R cart!
Huge shout-out to the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Jackson Community Foundation for organizing Community Impact Day. We had several volunteers organizing and washing donated clothing in our Jayhawk Exchange on Wednesday. Thanks to our volunteers from Choice One Bank, City of Jackson, Michigan Works Southeast, and Jackson Michigan Cornerstone Caregiving LLC for making this space feel special for our students and families. We greatly appreciate the time you spent with us. ❤️

The VCL green team placed 5th in the community outreach project video presentation out of 15 teams at the state championships. The team will conclude the competition tomorrow with two final test sessions at the Dead River Bridge and park dam.
The VCL green team is completing a 3 phase testing session at Presque Isle Park, including at the bog, hemlock forest, and black rocks. The team tested on Forestry, Soil and Land Usage, and Non-point source pollution.
