Mrs. Sweeney's 1st graders enjoyed some fun Math centers this afternoon!
We had a great week in Mrs. Lackey's Young 5's/ Kindergarten classroom. We learned about Johnny Appleseed and tasted 3 different types of apples. We also made homemade applesauce, apple pie in a cup and sampled apple cider and apple juice. We practiced our writing skills by making letters with shaving cream. We also celebrated reaching our compliment goal by SOARING in the hallway with an extra recess on this beautiful Friday!
Varsity Football is getting ready to face Homer HS. The varsity cheer team and HS Band are ready to support. Proud to be a Jayhawk!
We've added more dates for our Alumni Handprint Wall! Friday, October 10th before our home football game and Tuesday, December 2nd before the band concert. Both are drop-in between 6-7pm. We hope to see more Jayhawk Grads!

Vandercook Lake MS/HS picture re-take day is Wednesday, October 22nd in the morning. Students who missed picture day or need a re-take, your picture will be taken in the morning. We are looking for volunteers to spruce up our Jayhawk Exchange! If you are interested in helping, please stop by or call 517-782-8167. We have some amazing new and gently used clothing & shoes that have been donated by our community members and staff, and would appreciate the help getting it organized! The Jayhawk Exchange is open during school hours and is available for all of our students & families. Thank you everyone who has donated!
Vandercook Lake Middle School 7/8th Grade Football will not be playing today 9/25 and will be canceling the rest of its scheduled games due to roster numbers.
We have terrific teachers and amazing learners! ❤️🤍 We saw students learning their letters, analyzing classmates data, counting by 10s, making predictions, learning about their feelings, and so much more! Vandy Pride! ❤️Young Jayhawks❤️
