Mrs. Johnson's 2nd grade students listened to the story "Our Class is a Family" by Shannon Olsen because we are most DEFINITELY a classroom family! Adding to the story, we created a family wall! It turned out spectacular thanks some incredible artists!
It's High School Football Game Day at Vandercook Lake! Come out and support your Jayhawks! Gates open at 5:30pm. Game starts at 6:00pm.

Mrs. Sweeney's first graders enjoyed a fun "Find a Friendly Friend" activity today to help us build our classroom community and get to know each other better. It was a great first full day of the school year!
In Mrs. Johnson's 2nd grade, we S.O.A.R.!!! Today we discussed the meaning of each letter (S:safe, O:on task, A:accept responsibility, R:respect) and created posters to remind us throughout our year! GO JAYHAWKS!!!!
The next "Listen & Learn" with Superintendent Lowder will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30PM.

Middle school girls volleyball tryouts will be Monday (28th) and Tuesday (29th) from 3-4pm. Participants must have a physical on file dated after April 15, 2023.
Save the date! Friday, Oct. 20th, Vandy MS/HS will be hosting a Pro Wrestling event! All proceeds of this fundraiser will help a former Vandy grad, Travis Mascho, with hospital bills. More details to come.
